There are currently hundreds of laptops out there but how can you select the best one for you in your price segment.
So first things first, Select your task for which you will need a laptop like:
LAPTOP FOR ENTERTAINMENT
If you like to watch movies, youtube , surf internet and programming Go for a laptop which packs in a good CPU like intel in a mid range segment. Prefer latest generation if possible. Also Prefer great display (1920*1080 recommended) and a 1TB harddisk to store all your data.

If you are a student who has a great intrest on gaming plus need to have college stuf together go for a laptop which packs in an intel 8th gen CPU plus an nvidia 1050 gpu. For this laptops you will need to increase your budget to a little bit high segment (around 50,000 inr). Also Prefer SSD + HDD build which will help you a lot. If you want a good hardware combination in low price go for a DOS laptop it will offer same configuration but at a price 3000-4000 inr less than the windows edition. If you don't know how to install windows 10 then ask a colleague to do it. It's damn easy.
If you want your laptop to be graphically advanced go for a HD+ display rather than a full HD display. There a two benefits of doing this
1.) You will get better FPS on your games and
2.) The price will be also less.
If you want a compact laptop in low price go for any of the intel i5 8th gen laptop available out there as it is a great processor and also includes an integrated graphics processing unit in it.
If you have a mid-high budget just blindly go for an Ultrabook. So what is ultrabook? Some great decent laptops which are made to not only do but show your work amazingly are known as ultrabooks. Trust me the laptop have to be perfect in each category to be in the Ultrabook segment.
